(I think I have her "Whiting Nose"! Thanks Grandma)
Happy Birthday to my Grandmother, she would have been 99 years old today. I learned of her birthday via facebook. I don't remember knowing it before. She died nearly 20 years ago, I think it was March of 92. My senior year in High School.
I am not sure when the photograph above was taken, but this is what I remember her looking like. She had lovely white hair. I don't have many memories of her and that makes me sad. She is one of those people who I can't wait to chat with in Heaven.
One memory I do remember of her:
We were sitting on the couch in her living room. She told me of the first pair of "pantyhose" she ever owned. They were thick but skin colored and she felt a little scandalous wearing them. Ha love it.
I did have the opportunity when I was in highschool to help take care of her. She had had several strokes and wasn't able to communicate very well. I was able to cut her hair and help her dress. I am so grateful for that last year of her life.
