My Darling Friend

May I take a moment to tell you about my darling friend Misty?

Several years ago... about 1998 I picked up the phone to hear a beautiful Australian accent introduce herself as a friend of my brother's from the mission he was serving. She had come to AZ to nanny and we were practically neighbors.  She told me that she normally didn't call missionaries families, but my brother  #4 "Pestered me till I told him I would".   She informed me my brother said we would be great friends but that I didn't need to take her anywhere or feel obligated to show her around.  I immediately dropped everything and drove to get her for a Young Adult activity.  From the moment she pronounced me a

we have been bosom friends.  Elda Jungle Boy was right! He knew we would be great friends. I doubt however he knew how long that would last.

Well many years, countless boyfriends, love ups and dramatic downs... happy days, and crying times, visits to Australia, and visits to here, we are still friends.  She has "coincidentally" been around during times that only she would be able to be a support for. She is a tender mercy and a gift in my life.

She is getting Married next month in Utah and I get to be there!  She will be sealed in the Temple for all Eternity to her Prince Charming. (I don't romantically throw that word around lightly... I know he really is).  She has found him...and she deserves all the best stuff ever! I am so excited that she will only be about 2  hours away from now on.

Congrats girlie! I heart you truly.
