Yesterday

{#2 with his newest #5 little D}

Yesterday my sweet brother, my baby brother but also my Eldest brother, #2  blessed his little boy.

I tried to find some official definitions of a baby blessing for those of you who are not Mormon.
I failed at that.I blame my googling skills.
So here are my imperfect words... about what a Mormon baby blessing is.

Usually given to newborn babies by their father, it is a special prayer where a loving  father  formally gives his baby a name and pronounces blessings upon them. It could include words of love and spirituality. It usually includes hopes of righteous accomplishments for the life of the sweet little baby.
It is a time for family to gather around and celebrate the birth of such a precious gift. We believe this new little life is a gift from God and we let God know we will do whatever we can to help this little one have the best life possible. For us that includes teaching him to be a kind and loving person and how to develop a relationship with his Heavenly Father.

{Little D's dad and uncles and cousins from both sides}

I loved this sight, these are the men who will be the most influential  in  this little one's life. I admire and love them all. I hope he will see this picture someday and know how much he is loved. I hope he will know to whom he should look for shining examples of righteous male figures.
This room is full of smart, sweet, honest and loving men.

I am grateful to belong to them.
